I offer rod and reel catfishing trips on Lake Tawakoni, the premier catfish lake in the state of Texas.  Whether you are after trophy bluecat or a bunch of eating sized fish for a fish fry, Lake Tawakoni is the place for it. The lake is located 1 hour east of Dallas in Hunt, Rains, and Van Zandt counties. 

November through March is the very best time to catch the hard fighting trophy blues. During these months I specialize in getting customers hooked up with Tawakoni monster blues. These trips normally book up quickly so make your reservations early.

The rest of the year is usually fishing for big numbers of eating sized fish. These trips are usually very fast action and limits of fish are very common.

Specialty trips are also available. An example of a specialty trip would be trip for large parties requiring several boats. Another example of a specialty trip would be a night fishing trip for trophy blues in the months of July and August. Please call for specialty trip pricing.

No matter what kind of fishing you decide to do, I will do my best to ensure that you have fun and catch fish.

Just a note, in order to help preserve our fishery at Tawakoni, all fish over 15 pounds will be photographed and released.
